C5-2025 is out! 🚀

What’s included this time around? What’s new? Check it out!

  • Streamlined RMA Device Tracking

    • This feature introduces a dedicated "RMA Devices" tab within the Partner Portal's Device Health section. Fleet managers can now view, search, sort, and download comprehensive reports on devices processed for Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA). This enhancement provides quick access to essential RMA information, including organization name, IMEI, device name, and RMA date, improving device management and tracking efficiency. Users can download this data in CSV format for further analysis.

  • Breaking Changes (The following breaking changes were announced on May 13, 2025:)

    • AI-12 Connection Error Response Update (NC-3101)

      • Currently, our system returns a “500 Internal Server Error” when the AI-12/AI-14 connections between the tunnel and a device is lost due to a 30-second device timeout. We will be changing this to return a “417 Expectation Failed” status code for the following endpoints:

        • /devices/{imei}/cameras/{cameraId}/snapshot

        • /devices/{imei}/recording-ranges

    • Error Handling for partner-bulk-add-devices (SUR-9117)

      • We will be adding validations and specific error messages for device assignment failures. This includes a new error code (1007) and the message ("Device already assigned to this organization") when attempting to add a device already belonging to the specified organization. The existing error (1001) and message ("Device already assigned") will be returned if the device is assigned elsewhere.

    • IMEI Validation for Audit Logs (SUR-8629)

      • We will be implementing IMEI validation. If you attempt to retrieve audit logs using an invalid or non-existent IMEI, the system will return a “404 Not Found” error along with an informative message. Currently, an “Incorrect 200 OK” response is returned in such cases.

    • Retiring APIs (TAK-422)

      • We will be sunsetting the email notification on or before September 2025. After this service is discontinued, the following APIs will be retired and might lead to breaking changes:

        • /rpc-send-alarms-report: 'Sends interval report to recipients'

        • /alarms: 'Create alarm'

        • /subscription: This function is used to save the GPS details of a given edge ID

        • /v1.1/devices/{serialNumber}/virtual-event': Triggers a given device to generate a virtual event

    • Read all about this release’s new features and enhancements in the Developer portal changelog.
